Apple yesterday held its Services-focused “It’s show time” event at Steve Jobs Theater. Now, the company has made the full event available to watch via YouTube. A replay of the keynote has been available on Apple’s website since yesterday, but only tonight did the full video hit YouTube. The full keynote clocks in at nearly 2-hours in length, coming in at 1 hour and 49 minutes. During yesterday’s event, Apple announced new Services for gaming, video, finance, and Apple News....

Apple will likely unveil the Apple Watch Pro during its iPhone 14 event tomorrow. This week, leaked third-party cases brought the best look yet at what to expect from this model as rumors suggested Apple will make it the largest Apple Watch announced so far. Now, graphic designer Ian Zelbo and UI/UX designer Parker Ortolani created amazing renders of the Apple Watch Pro with some redesigned Watch Faces and more....

UPDATE: Read everything revealed by the Aquaman set visit reports. James Wan’s Aquaman will feature a young Arthur Curry in flashback sequences. While sparse pieces of information are known about the full plot of the film, Aquaman will be partially dedicated to Arthur Curry’s origin story. The film will mark the first DC movie universe entry since 2017’s Justice League, directed by Zack Snyder. Jason Momoa sparked huge interest in the Aquaman character as far back as Justice League’s marketing....

With Apple having confirmed analyst predictions by reporting a record quarter for both revenue and sales of iPhones, Macs and Watches, Six Colors has done its usual great job in pulling together a set of colorful charts that put the numbers into historical context … The set of 18 charts make it easy to see how all the numbers compare with previous years. Following the release of the latest OS X Mavericks 10.9.2 build to developers earlier this week, Apple has released a new seed (build 13S4101b) of OS X Server 3.1 to developers today. Earlier this month, Apple added videos to its “Shot on iPhone 6” website and today the company has added four new videos to the section. Today’s additions include videos from Australia, the United States, Norway, and the Netherlands. The videos, in addition to being added to Apple’s website, have also been uploaded to its YouTube videos. Much like the initial videos shared earlier this month, today’s videos highlight the iPhone’s unique camera features, such as its slow-motion, time-lapse, and macro recording capabilities....

After a bunch of new videos on its YouTube channel about the “Spring Loaded” event, Apple is sharing two new “Behind the Mac” ads about how Billie Eilish’s brother Finnneas creates songs using a Mac and students getting into college. It’s not the first ad Apple has released about college life. Early in April, the company shared a “New Beginnings” Mac ad that focused on newly admitted college students. In the 38-second ad called “Behind the Mac: Headed for College,” you can see a bunch of students with their MacBooks and iMacs receiving the college acceptance news....

Saturday, Apple will open its first Apple Store in the great state of Alaska which will be by far the most northernApple Store on the planet. It will be located on 320 West 5th Avenue (in the 5th Avenue Mall) in Anchorage, and doors open at 10 A.M. You’d think this would make for an Apple Store in every state, but there are still seven (Arkansas, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming) without according to this map (thanks commenters)....

Apple reportedly acquired the rights to the movie Dolly after a “bidding war,” as revealed by Deadline. The Cupertino-based company disputed the film with four major studios and will now offer it to Apple TV+ subscribers. Although the company has acquired the rights to Dolly, the film is still a long way from its release. According to sources familiar with the matter, Apple hasn’t yet given the green light to start producing the project as it doesn’t yet have a director set and the script hasn’t yet been written....

Apple TV+ continues to grow. The Golden Globe-nominated Wolfwalkers animation has earned 10 Annie Award nominations, including Best Animated Feature. Stillwater, another Apple TV+ series, also landed a nomination for Best Preschool Series. Apple has also detailed some viewership numbers for its recent Billie Eilish documentary. According to Apple, in over a year, the company’s original series and films have won 74 awards and earned 287 nominations across its original programming....

Although there doesn’t seem to be much changed from previous versions apart from some re-ordering, Apple has updated its Knowledge Base article on unauthorized modification of iOS devices following this week’s release of the evasi0n jailbreak tool. The article warned users that jailbreaking could cause numerous issues from shortened battery life to security vulnerabilities and other common issues. Jailbreaking, as outlined by the Electronic Frontier Foundation, isn’t illegal in the United States, but Apple said it might refuse to service devices that have been jailbroken....

There’s been a lot of speculation about Apple Watch sleep tracking, especially after Apple acquired Beddit, manufacturer of the Beddit Sleep Monitor product and companion app. The new feature — codenamed “Burrito” internally and called “Time in Bed tracking” — will allow users to choose to wear Apple Watch to bed. If the user has more than one Apple Watch, they can pick one to be their designated bedtime Watch....

Verizon iPhone. Those two words almost pain my ears at this point, but the Wall St. Journal is wheeling them out once again. After many false starts, they have the Verizon iPhone happening in September after an initial launch on AT&T this Summer: The people briefed on the matter said one of the new iPhones is being manufactured by Taiwanese contract manufacturer Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., which produced Apple’s previous iPhones....

AppleCare, a paid support service from Apple, has found itself under fire in Italy where government regulators are probing the company over a possible noncompliance with the European Union’s consumer laws. Setteb.it explains that EU consumers laws protect buyers with a minimum two-year coverage on all consumer electronics products, which includes Apple’s iPhones, iPads, iPods and Apple TVs. However, Apple is selling those gadgets with a one-year warranty. How’s that possible?...

Warning: SPOILERS for Aquaman If you had told comic fans that the Aquaman movie would bring the monstrous Karathen to life, they might have believed you. But tell them it would be Mary Poppins voicing the creature in a secret cameo, and nobody would have bought it. Op-chief Tim Cook recently in a conference call with Wall Street analysts re-iterrated Apple’s stance that the Apple TV box remains “a hobby” for the company. The comment jibes with Steve Jobs’s argument from the Wall Street Journal’s D8 conference last year when he said set-top box makers like Apple and Google faced a go-to market problem, calling the television market “balkanized” (full quote and video below the fold). Is it surprising then to find out that Google TVs are not selling very well, just like Apple TVs?...
