After sharing its latest Environmental Responsibility report this morning, Apple this evening has added a new Earth Day 2015 section to the App Store. The section highlights content that contribute to environmental awareness, as well as apps that promote green living and going paperless.
Further, Apple’s Earth Day 2015 section aggregates books, movies, iTunes U content, podcasts, and TV shows that relate to the Earth. Selections include the TV show “Planet Earth,” the movie “March of the Penguins,” the book “Environmental Debt,” the apps Evernote Scannable and Green Living, and various National Geographic magazines.
Apple writes that its goals as a company go beyond just making the best products in the world and extend to making the best products for the world:
Apple’s Earth Day 2015 App Store collection is available now. Earth Day officially is Wednesday, April 22nd, 2015.
